Try these tasty toppers to spice up your main dishes.
+ Top pasta or chicken with sage butter. Melt butter over very low heat and add fresh sage leaves. Cook until the leaves have crisped. Remove leaves and let the butter brown. You can crumble the cooked sage leaves and add them to the butter sauce, or serve the butter sauce alone.
+ Create your own pesto by finely chopping basil leaves, and adding pine nuts and olive oil.
+ Combine chicken stock, olive oil, lemon juice and your choices of herbs (basil, parsley, oregano, etc.) to create a lemon-herb sauce to top chicken.
+ If your sauce is too thin, add small quantities of arrowroot to your sauce and stir until you reach the desired consistency.
