Raise your hand if you bought spices this past month for a recipe for Thanksgiving. I know I did. And, chances are, you won’t be using the spices the other 364 days of the year. It is frustrating to shell out $10 or more for a variety of spices, only to use them once.
There are so many recipes and posts out on the web for turkey left-overs, cranberry sauce and so forth, but nothing that will get those spices back out of your cupboard. My peach spice cake will do just that. It focuses on using those spices you bought just for Thanksgiving: cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice. I felt great making and eating this cake as I knew I wasn’t going to be wasting my spices again this year. I hope you agree and put your spices to good use.

“What a great idea. I spent $13 this thanksgiving for spices. I will try this recipe as it pains me to leave the spices in the cupboard to die.”

“thank you for this wonderful recipe, it looks really great. Rather than using spice leftovers, I will use canned peaches leftovers... ;-)
I would like to translate it to spanish in my blog. Can I? ”

“Made this cake for a work pink breakfast fundraising event and it was a hit. I doubled the recipe and ended up with 3 large cakes. Colleagues asked for the recipe so I referred them to your website. One change I made, is that I didnt have enough peaches so I also added a can of apricot and it still tasted delicious. My one recommendation is to add the the peaches and apricot at the end so they remain chunky also. Yummo!”
